British Columbia, Canada based Pop recording artist Nina Amelio began her vocal training with award-winning Jazz singer Cheryl Hodge. In 2013, Nina recorded her debut EP, ‘Spell and Reflection’, with producer Brandon Delyzer at Juno Nominated Baker Studios in Victoria, BC.
In 2014, Nina’s single “Tides” debuted on 101.9 K-Rock on The Blues Show. The song took hold on radio stations in BC and Alberta leading to a feature on CBC Radio. The following year, Nina was in the CBC searchlight Top 10 regional finals. Through the searchlight exposure, her single “Who Do You Think You Are?” received radio play on CBC nationwide (Canada). She was also a semifinalist in the 2015 and 2016 Unsigned Only Competition.
Nina has received two FACTOR Canada recording grants and recorded three singles at Zedd records in Toronto Ontario with Mark Zubek (Grammy winner Betty Carter). Both singles “Who do you think you are” and “Savage Love” achieved worldwide radio success. The singles were featured on the weekly broadcast -The Deuce.
At present, Nina is on over 60 radio stations worldwide including the UK, USA, Italy, Australia, Slovenia, Spain and New Zealand to name a few; 15 broadcast on FM frequency.) In addition, Nina was featured on the award winning podcast, Women of Substance, in the June top 20 countdown.
Currently “Savage Love” is at over 400,000 (400K) plays on Soundcloud and has garnished international radio rotation. Nina has nonexclusive licensing agreements with Amurco in London England and Instigator Music Group in Canada. Most recently her Single “Faded Away” won Singer Universe Best Vocalist of the month and was nominated for best POP song at the Hollywood Music in Media awards. Summer 2018 Savage Love was Featured on, BWH music groups ''That Summer" compilation album. Available on all music platforms.
